Sunday Preps

Pizza dough:

1 tsp honey + 2.5 tsp dry yeast (or one envelope) + 1.5 cups warm water (if you go too hot it will scorch your yeast and not rise).

After the above starts to bubble (a minute or so) add in 3.5 cups of all purpose flour and 2 TBSP of olive oil and 2 tsp of salt. Place in container and put in the fridge to rise for the next 1-4 days.

When ready to use, divide into two balls, roll one out, top it with below sauce or Alfredo sauce, cheese and toppings then bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until done!

Spaghetti sauce:

Skillet version: cut an onion in half, peel away skin then put face down in iron skillet with half a stick of butter + 4 cups of diced tomatoes/cherry tomatoes/campari tomatoes/whatever tomatoes you like + 2 or 3 cups of chopped carrots. Once soft, throw everything into the blender (you can work in batches) and put back in the skillet. Add a pinch of sugar, then salt and a tsp of oregano plus fresh basil if you have it. Store in the fridge and use within 5 days!

Crockpot version: throw an onion cut in half and peeled into the crockpot with as many tomatoes as you want, plus 3-4 cups of carrots, plus a cup of water; simmer on low for 3 hours or until soft, then blend and store in the fridge!

Try this two-fer next!
